Being removed from our mother's body too early after birth might have a long-term psychological effect. Whatever pain we feel from the surgery and recovery might have a long-term psychological effect. Psychological effects of early childhood (Adverse Childhood Events) have been studied deeply in recent years and appear conclusive that there ARE negative effects on the person throughout life.
Missing a part of our genitalia (both men AND women) likely drives us to pursue something that we don't understand and can never get. This is like phantom limb syndrome where our brain is expecting neural feedback that never occurs.
This can all drive victims of genital mutilation to unhealthy actions to attempt to obtain what they need.
Certainly there are many other factors that influence how we behave. I'm not saying that every person who is a victim of childhood genital mutilation will grow into a sexually violent adult.
